Labor Doula Support

As a labor doula, I provide support both prior to labor, during labor, and after the birth of your baby.

Pregnancy and Labor Support

Two to three prenatal appointments spanning from 1-3 hours.
We can meet in the convenience of your home to discuss an array of subjects from pretend contractions, to what to expect postpartum.
Creating a birth wish list and postpartum promise agreement.
We will talk about your wishes and desires for your birth. We will also talk about your wishes and desires for postpartum. I will format these and you will recieve a copy.

Need help finding a nursing bra? Interested in attending La Leche Legue meetings? I will research and find the resources in your area.
I have a lending library of reading materials and movies.
Continuous physical and emotional support throughout labor, delivery, and immediate postpartum.

Postpartum Support

I will be in attendance for up to two hours of immediate postpartum and breastfeeding support
I will visit the new family for postpartum and breastfeeding support in their home, or attend a La Leche League meeting with them.

Monitrice Support

I offer an educational prenatal care program to compliment the care provided by your physician. You will receive education about the importance of nutrition in pregnancy, as well as the emotional side of pregnancy. We will have 4 prenatal visits through the course of your pregnancy. I will arrive at your home when you are in active labor, and will offer support in the way of massage, position changes, emotional encouragement, and checking vitals (clinical support).

I will offer breastfeeding and immediate postpartum support for up to two hours immediately after birth. I will visit you and your new addition during the first week after birth, after you return home from the hospital.

I am available to answer questions throughout your pregnancy and postpartum via e-mail and phone.
